Grace Church Hartlepool exists to see the glory and love of our triune God recognised and spread through the adoption of people into his family across Hartlepool, the North East and the World.
Our strategy is to plant, across Hartlepool, a network of gospel-centred communities on mission.
As a church that is dependent on and empowered by the Holy Spirit, by God’s grace we will seek to increasingly embody the following values (click each value for more information):
The gospel is the good news that through his life, death, resurrection and ascension, Jesus made our acceptance with the Father possible by
We will be a people who enjoy talking to our Father in heaven. We will be utterly and gladly dependent on our kind and generous Father to be at work by his Spirit in all that we are and do as a church
Mission isn’t an optional extra to the Christian life. We follow in the footsteps of our missionary God – as the Father sent the Son to rescue the world, so now the Son sends us to bear witness to his grace. Motivated by this grace, we will together take part in the privileged responsibility that Jesus has kindly given to every believer: His mission to save a people for Himself. We will understand the hopes, fears and questions of our town and speak the gospel into the lives of those around us. We will live with purpose, creating opportunities to instigate and deepen relationships with unbelievers. As we share lives together, we will proactively welcome unbelievers into our gospel communities. By God’s grace we will strive to see the gospel reach the rest of the Northeast, Europe, and world through partnering with those who are already there, and going ourselves.
God is a Triune, communal God and thus as those made in his image we are made for community.
The Bible is not simply a book of facts. It is the Spirit-inspired living Word of our Father, which ultimately points us to the Word made flesh: Jesus.
